I finally finished the word "Christmas" I did alot of seam ripping along with the sewing. It takes a little getting used to as to what section connects with the other to create the letter.I also had a hard time getting my letters somewhat near the same size
I may take off the "a" and the "s" and straighten them up some, then add a border and quilt it.I am so excited to finally finish it!! I was laso working on the word LOVE.with all the reds I have left from the Christmas quilt.

great letters! once you try it, you won't be able to stop.
It turned our JOYOUS! DOn't you date pick it out, leave the wonky as a CELEBRAtion and personality of your first word!!! Congrats and guess what....YOU win a book of Tonya's from me! Will you email me your address of where I can send it! Thank you so much for playing with me, Em
congrats for your great work. looks wonderful!- cw
Great letters. It does take a bit of practice, but it is so worth it. Just think of all the things you have to say!
Your letters are terrific! DO NOT RIP THEM APART! They are joyous and happy! Yeah, getting them all the same size... that's tricky, but your wonky letters are full of joy. I'd rather have the energy that radiates from fun letters than have them all lined up in neat rows. (yes, I did just say this...)
no no no picking them out! they look fab.and I can't believe what I just read that Lynne said.
I really like them the way they are. Good job! It is very festive.
Thats the fun of making the letters, all the experimenting!
Awesome! I've been wanting to do a word quilt! This is great!
Oh no these are not supposed to be perfect........they look terrific!
And you heard it from Tonya herself who knows a thing or two about letters!
Don't forget to show us the finished project!
Happy sewing and Merry Christmas :0)
Glad you didn't take apart your letters - they look GREAT! And your M is fabulous. Congrats on your first word . . . but be warned, it is addictive. ;)
That is so cool! I think it turned out wonderfully!
I asked Santa for Tonya's book for Christmas, so I am looking forward to trying this out for myself in the new year.
